Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
The service
What's My IP provides a free tool that shows your public IP address, approximate location, and network details, plus plain-language guides about IP addresses. By using the site you agree to these terms.
Accuracy
IP geolocation is approximate. It typically resolves to the city or region level and can be affected by VPNs, mobile networks, and how your provider routes traffic. Do not rely on it for anything where precision matters, such as fraud prevention, legal matters, or emergency location.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the tool or attempt to disrupt the site. You may embed our free widget on your own website as long as the attribution link stays intact.
Advertising
The site is supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party providers and we do not endorse the products or claims shown in them.
No warranty
The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee either.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new terms. Questions? Reach us through the contact page.
