How to Find Your IP Address on Android
Android phones have a public IP address (what the internet sees) and a private IP address (assigned by your Wi-Fi router). Here is how to find both.
For the public IP, just load our homepage. It displays your address immediately. For the private one, use the steps below.
Find your private Wi-Fi IP on Android
Open Settings, then Network and Internet, then Wi-Fi. Tap your connected network (or the gear icon next to it). Scroll to find your IP address under network details.
Menu names vary slightly between Samsung, Pixel, and other brands, but the path is always through the Wi-Fi settings for your current network.
Find your public IP on Android
Open Chrome and visit this site. The address shown at the top is your public IP.
On mobile data this address belongs to your carrier and changes regularly. On Wi-Fi it is your home router's address.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the IP address in Android settings?
Settings, Network and Internet, Wi-Fi, then tap your connected network. The IP address is listed in the network details section.
Does airplane mode change my IP address?
Toggling airplane mode forces your phone to reconnect, which often results in a new public IP from your carrier. It is not guaranteed, but it frequently works.
Can I see my IP without an app?
Yes. You do not need any app. Your browser and the built-in Settings app are enough, and our homepage shows your public IP with nothing to install.
